MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 410-390 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.81 g, 2 h). ΣΩΤΕΙΡΑ Head of Kore to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring, simple necklace and sphendone covered by a veil. Rev. KY-ZI Head of a lion to left, with open jaws and protruding tongue; below, tunny fish to left; behind, pilos. SNG Paris -. Von Fritze II, 23 and pl. V, 27 (same dies). A wonderful piece, beautifully toned, perfectly struck and of particularly fine style. Very light porosity, otherwise, extremely fine.
